Baltimore Wedding: Laura + Charlie

Right now, we are teaching our three year old daughter what it means to be kind. What it means to use kind words and have kind hands and have a kind heart. Kindness goes a long long way. You remember people that are kind to you. Being kind is also a way to glorify God as we reflect his kindness to others.

Laura was a person that I remember as kind. We met in Kindergarten. Yep, that’s right, kindergarten. She was the kind little girl, while I was the ornery (I love that word, don’t you? Ornery. It reminds me of my grandma.) hyper little girl that got her stickers covered the first day of kindergarten because I turned around to place a hand slapping game with my friend who sat behind me. (Getting your stickers covered was NOT good.) I didn’t know the rules! It was my first day! But, I digress. Laura was kind. She was a friend to all. Her teachers loved her and she had a sweet disposition. She left our school during second grade, but I never forgot how kind she was.

Years later, she asks me to be her wedding photographer. I met up with her and Charlie for their Baltimore engagement shoot and she is just as kind as I remember her. Charlie is also a kind man. Together, they make a great pair that will glorify God through their kindness.

Their wedding day was May 28. It was the FIRST hot, hot, hot day of the year after we’ve had a month of cool rain. They were troopers for taking their bride and groom shots in the middle of the day. They were gracious and kind when I suggested things. Their wedding was full of friends and family they loved dearly. It was all very sweet, complete with little things that reflect Laura and Charlie.

I was completely honored to be a part of their wedding day.
